Together with Suncastv and Women's Sports Television on February 24th, 2008, we will be airing Breaking for Hope.

On June 29th, Danielle Felde, a 14 year old level 9 gymnast broke her neck while training on the vault. She was air lifted from Crystal Lake to Milwaukee's Children's Hospital. 4 weeks later she was transferred by ambulance to RIC in Chicago and spent the following three months there. She was finally returned home to Woodstock in early November. She now travels to RIC in Northbrook 4 days a week working on her rehab from 9am until 3 pm. While her original diagnosis was permanent paralysis, they discovered some sensation in November & she recently was able to take 2 step with aid. She is looking at at least another year of rehab, but she will be able to walk again, to what degree is unknown.

On Sunday, February 24th we will be hosting a Break for Hope break-a-thon at 2pm at Harper College. We will feature the Yong In University Demo team, The Jesse White Tumblers and local Martial Arts schools will show demos & break boards on behalf of Danielle. We have a seating capacity of 2500. Her medical Bills are already well past $100,000. Her mother has not been able to work since the accident and the family of 5 entire life has been disrupted.

We will be raising money for Danielle in 4 different ways:
1. “Break a Thon”
You may purchase boards at $5 each and have a student break them for Danielle. Master Park will break 1000 boards for Danielle. You may donate boards for him to break at $5 each.
2. Come see the show!
Everyone is invited to come see the show. The entry fee is $10. Children 3 & under are free.
3. Raffle Tickets (may only be purchased at the show)
Local businesses are donating items that range from a Walgreen's $20 gift card & X-Box 360 accessories to a spa massage & facial. Raffle tickets will be $10.
4. You may donate any amount directly to the Danielle Felde Fund.
Please make all checks (we cannot accept cash) out to the Danielle Felde Fund . Her fund is held at Prairie Community Bank of Marengo. You may send donations directly to the bank @ PrairieCommunity Bank 800 W Grant Hwy PO 255, Marengo IL, 60152-0255.
